Middle School Art

My goal as the middle school art teacher is to provide an opportunity for each student to build upon the fundamental art skills they mastered in elementary school and begin to explore new ways in which to make art.  All middle school students will take art for one quarter. 8th graders will take art in the fall, and 7th graders will take art in the spring. Throughout the quarter, students will focus on a variety of techniques and processes, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, design, and ceramics.

I want all students to have a positive and rewarding artistic experience in middle school so that they are prepared to participate in the wonderful artistic opportunities in Baxter when they get to high school!

As the year gets started, I will upload pictures of current student work as well as add a calendar where students can check for assignment updates and due dates.
